Video Game Party Massacre – Replay

Thank you to everyone who tuned in during our live broadcast Saturday. We raised over $3000 for the Dude Bro Party Massacre III film Kickstarter for our friends at 5SecondFilms, which is absolutely awesome!

I am incredibly proud of our community for helping these guys towards their goal of making their first collective feature length film! Special thanks go to our awesome moderators who were present throughout the broadcast (Duke, Snotsnit, InfernalXerxes) and all of those who donated! There are still two weeks left: If you want to help this movie take flight, you can do so over on their Kickstarter page.

You can also watch the full replay of the event below (split into two parts):

PART 1

PART 2

Movie Talk with Xerxes – Uncertain Times

Movie Talk with Xerxes, broadcasting every other Wednesdays at 7 Eastern / 4 Pacific. The one and only broadcast by yours truly, InfernalXerxes. The movie discussion broadcast, where I assign movies and television episodes, and you watch them. These articles will be the place to come for the latest news on the show, including the movie list for next week, the television episode list, and any new segments.

The standard format of Movie Talk with Xerxes is an introduction, followed by a viewer discussion lead by myself about each movie in the order they are listed. Between the second and third movies, is Xerxes Recommends, in which I recommend a movie for the audience. Resuming the movie discussions, the third and fourth movie are covered followed by the movie list for the following week. Next up is the television show episodes discussion. The current show is Masters of Science Fiction. Nearing the end of the broadcast, the episodes for the following week are assigned. Following this is Xerxes Rants, a segment where I talk about an issue on my mind. New this week was Xerxes Articles In The Works, a segment where I discuss one of my unfinished articles to get my thoughts out there and perhaps inspire myself. After that I give the opportunity for general discussion.

Well, it’s August and in the long tradition of my life, I may be attending the Canadian National Exhibition. The only years I have missed where around a week after I was born, and when I was one and two. I also missed 2010 and I regret breaking the chain. I go on Food Products Day and stand in a big line for a few hours at the beginning of the day so I can spin a big wheel and win a prize. Last year I won a Micro-Grill, a small grill like device you heat up in the microwave and then microwave again with food in it to cook said food. Oh well, Food Day is Wednesday August 22nd, which means if I go, there will be no cast. Since there is no cast, I am assigning four movies of your choice, to be discussed in a special broadcast on the 29th, with a regular assignments being released on the 22nd for the September 5th regular show. If for some reason, I don’t go to the Ex, the broadcast will be as usual on the 22nd, with notice given in advance. Enjoy the possible three weeks without Xerxes, for I will be back with a vengeance… and stuff to talk about.

As this is an accompaniment article to a movie discussion broadcast, please refrain from talking about the movies or episodes in the comments. If you have thoughts or ideas about the discussion content, drop on by the show and share it. If you can’t make it, feel free to send me a private message to my Ogeeku account @infernalxerxes and I will be sure to bring up your ideas for discussion. Include if you want credit or not.
